digital storytelling café: leisure How will we spend our free time together in Holo?

Artists:

Polyphrenic Creatures, Antje Hachenberg and Mehrgenerationenhaus Kellinghusen

The narrative café series Holo Miteinander focuses on exchange, community and solidarity. However, as no events can take place at M.1 due to the measures to contain Covid-19, the series will be continued digitally on Saturday, 16. May from 15:00-16:30. Interested parties can join in from their living rooms via the conference platform Zoom with their computers. This is intended to create space to strengthen physical distance, exchange and community even in times of physical distance.

What is it all about?

Holo Miteinander is a series of events that is about the exchange of ideas on the topics of living, working, mobility, leisure and food. We would like to create encounters and learn from each other, and contribute to the strengthening of solidarity and sense of community in Hohenlockstedt and the surrounding area.

The Storytelling Café on 16.05.2020 will focus on the question: How do we want to organize our leisure time in Holo Miteinander? Are there still opportunities to spend your free time together? And what challenges does a Hohenlockstedter face when it comes to leisure activities - even without corona measures? Is it easy to find like-minded people who can share a hobby together, or simply enjoy an afternoon snack? Are there enough playgrounds? Do you need a halfpipe? Are there rooms where people can meet?

How can I participate in the digital version?

Everyone who would like to exchange ideas on one of the topics is very welcome! The number of participants is limited to 20 persons per event, so we kindly ask you to register. Drinks and cake will be provided and we will be happy to arrange childcare on request.

The digital storytelling café will be held with the help of the Zoom conference platform. Participants* will need Internet access and a computer, laptop or smartphone with video camera. It might be helpful to use a headset. In order to enable people with little technical knowledge to participate, we offer appointments to test the technology. Please register and make an appointment with Maria Nydahl (04826 850110 or mn@arthurboskamp-stiftung.de)

Who is already taking part?

For each topic, one or two people from the region are invited, who will talk about how they are already helping to shape their region. Thus local knowledge and existing solutions are made accessible to the community. Antje Hachenberg (Projektwerkstatt Inklusion Itzehoe & Familiennetzwerk Lebenshilfe Steinburg e.V.) will moderate the storytelling cafés. The artist duo Polyphrenic Creatures will accompany the storytelling cafés performatively and, by creating a work of art, provide access to the processes that arise in the context of Holo Miteinander.

How can you stay in touch beyond the storytellingcafés?

We have set up a mailing list that you can use to stay in touch, discuss certain topics more in depth, exchange information and arrange meetings. We hope that through this mailing list the discussion, sharing of experiences, wishes and ideas will continue outside of M.1 - and can possibly even contribute to the formation of new interest groups.

More information can be found here.
