The exhibition Right Right Now Now is concerned with artistic positions that take up strategies and formats of journalism, sociology and science, yet do so without appropriating them. They much rather develop their own aesthetics for the description of the world. The focus is on works that retrace historical events and describe social or cultural relationships, but consistently avoid classic analytical modes of formulation.

The exhibition intends to pose the question: What surplus value can be gained from an artistic language? It is a plea for narrative and subjective forms of expression. The power latent in these artistic positions lays in their subjective and frequently obsessive look. In subjecting supposedly marginal figures, unnoticed details or selected personalities to concentrated attention, they open up new perspectives on what is already known. They develop independent languages and in so doing, make both history and the present accessible from a subjective perspective.
