Maya Minder

Artistic research on biohacking, evolution and food
Interdisciplinary artist Maya Minder works at the intersection of evolutionary biology, cooking, science and performance. Her work investigates the role of eating as a transformative process, on both a molecular and societal level. She is co-founder of the Hackteria Society and co-president of the Swiss Society for Mechatronics (SGMK).

Maya Minder (CH/KR, *1983), studied Art history at the University of Zurich and MA in Fine Arts at Zurich University of the Arts. Her research-based practice circles around the topics of food stories, evolutionary biology, and relational aesthetics within practices of cooking, biohacking, performance, and media-based installations. She is the co-president of the International Hackteria Society, Swiss Mechatronic Society (SGMK) and a board member of Foodculture Days, Switzerland.
