Artistic practice between city, participation and mediation
Adam Page and Eva Hertsch work at the interface between art, urban research and social engagement. Their projects reflect on hierarchies and power structures in urban space, particularly in peripheral urban areas. They activate public spaces through communicative and community-oriented processes, deliberately targeting local allies and actors.
Since the 2000s, they have realized public interventions with projects such as “INFO OFFSPRING Kiosk” (Dresden) and “Kunst im Untergrund” (Berlin-Hellersdorf). Their most recent work in Hellersdorf supported the founding of a neighborhood market as a sustainable social infrastructure.
For Art as Ecological Practice they are developing a participatory action on urban agriculture and communal self-organization.
