playing

For this exhibition, the artistic director invited the Kiel curator and gallerist Ulrich Horstmann. “playing” deals with the playful moment in art: playing with material, views, subtext. The artists employ classical media such as painting and drawing, as well as profane everyday objects and materials. “playing around” allows for complex in-sights and through-sights that unite the 15 different artistic positions on show. Horstmann uses the occasion in Hohenlockstedt to bring together outstanding artists from Schleswig-Holstein.
