It’s midsummer, it’s QUEER BAR season, and it’s high time for Drag Queen AmyLu DeVil to make the QUEER BAR sparkle again: on August 22, starting at 6 pm, the next QUEER BAR will take place in the garden of the Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung. For the fourth year in a row, AmyLu DeVil will host this very special evening with her signature charm and humor, making her a much-loved regular among our special guests. The evening will focus on artistic freedom, with AmyLu DeVil inviting guests to explore the topic together. As always, there will be ice-cold drinks, music, and plenty of opportunities to strike up a conversation with your tablemates.

With her unique blend of glamourous performance and personal stories about her journey as a drag queen, AmyLu DeVil fills the QUEER BAR with her unforgettable sparkle. AmyLu doesn’t only appear as a stage persona, but also spends the evening engaging directly with guests at the bar or at the tables, right in the midst of the community.

Drag is a centuries-old and multifaceted art form that can be found across all areas of life and in a wide range of artistic genres. Drag can be an expression of personal identity as well as an artistic performance. Above all, however, drag is a political stance that invites us to question gender roles, challenge social conventions, and create space for personal expression. Through questions and reflections on artistic freedom, AmyLu DeVil will open up a conversation with the guests, inviting everyone to explore drag as a form of artistic expression and to get actively involved themselves: with brushes, pens, and paper, everyone attending will have the opportunity to experiment.
